Annecy site visit
Annecy is not only famous for its proximity to water,
mountains, and forests but also for its iconic Galeries Lafayette building from
the 60s. With David Thulstrup being appointed as interior architect, the
transformation, that is being carried out since the beginning of 2020, is
slowly taking shape. With a 13.000 square metre extension of the current
building, the aim is to create a strong coherence between the already-existing
architecture by the local architects, local characteristics, and the function of
the added spaces. Complete in spring 2022 for an opening during the summer.
